Certification Process

The AICB certification process uses ICB Version 3.0, June 2006, for competence only. The AICB certifies at levels A, B, C and D as per ICB Version 3.0 with the following exceptions: 1) Level D Certification is valid for 5 years; 2) the AICB requires the development of competence development plan as an option for all levels.

The certification process is over 5 stages and takes approximately two to six months depending on the Level applied for and the candidate’s ability to prepare for assessment:

Primary certification fees are invoiced in two stages. Stage 1 is the Application Fee which is payable upon acceptance of Initial Registration Form. The Application Fee is non-refundable. Stage 2 is the Assessment Fee which is payable prior to Assessment and is refunded only in exceptional cases.

How to Apply

Candidates apply by completing the Initial Registration Form available for download here. Once submitted to ipma@aipm.com.au the candidate will be contacted by one of our team who will provide details for the payment of a non-refundable Application fee. Upon payment of the fee the candidate will be provided with the relevant documentation for the certification process.

Once the candidate has submitted the application and the application has been assessed as suitable for the level applied for, the candidate may register for an exam or interview date.
